Over ₹100 Crore Dues of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to Be Cleared Soon: Social Welfare Minister

The state government will soon clear pending dues of over ₹100 crore to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital under various empanelled health schemes. Social Welfare Minister Khajan Das, while visiting Shri Darbar Sahib, stated that when several hospitals discontinued services under Ayushman, Golden Card, and ESI schemes, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital continued to provide uninterrupted services and consistently supported the government. In return, the government will extend all possible assistance to the hospital. He also highly appreciated the grand renovation work of Maa Ambika Devi Temple at Rajpur carried out by Shri Darbar Sahib.
On Wednesday, Social Welfare Minister Khajan Das visited Shri Darbar Sahib, offered prayers, and wished for the prosperity and well-being of the state. During the visit, he paid a courtesy call on Sajjadah Gaddi Nashin Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj and sought his blessings. Both held detailed discussions on various contemporary issues of the state, particularly focusing on environmental conservation, public healthcare services, and social welfare.
As per the traditions of Shri Darbar Sahib, the Cabinet Minister was accorded a grand welcome. Khajan Das appreciated the excellent healthcare services provided by Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, stating that the institution plays a significant role in delivering accessible and quality treatment to the general public. Meanwhile, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj shared insights into the notable contributions of Shri Guru Ram Rai University in the field of higher education. This was Khajan Das’s first visit to Shri Darbar Sahib after becoming a Cabinet Minister.
On this occasion, the Social Welfare Minister also highlighted various welfare schemes run by the department, emphasizing that the government is committed to reaching assistance to the last person in society. He noted that schemes for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, women, and economically weaker sections are delivering long-term benefits and bringing positive changes in people’s lives.
